Instagram

September 16, 2011

About a month ago I downloaded the free Instagram app onto my iPhone. It allows you to take pictures with your phone and then add filters with names like X-Pro II, Earlybird, Poprocket and 1977. You can then choose to share those images with a world of like minded photo narcissists. I’ve become quite addicted myself, the following images chronicle things I felt compelled to photograph in my life over the past 30 days or so. I currently have only two followers myself so if you have the app look me up under the moniker “jevanshead”. The images look better if you click on them.

Happy Birthday Kaden

January 20, 2011

My nephew Kaden also celebrated a birthday while I was away. Kaden was born on December 28th, 9 years ago. Apologies for the delay in posting but I’d like to take a minute to tell you about him.

He was a cute baby...

...and an even cuter toddler.

He's always on the go.

He enjoys a nice boat ride and spending time with his Pops.

He's a great fisherman.

He loves playing hockey...

...and hanging with his buds.

He loves his Momma...

...and he's always willing to lend a hand.

He is a ray of sunshine...

...and a super hero to me.

I can’t believe you are already 9 years old. I love you and wish you the best year yet. I hope we can see each other very soon.

Happy Birthday Buddy.

Sundown

I made this stop motion video up at my friends float cabin on Powell Lake. The smudge in the upper left corner around the 17 second mark is a bat flying by.

Wishing I was still on it.

All Day In the Car

June 21, 2010

I made a this stop motion movie of my drive up to Powell River this past weekend. I took one photo every ten seconds for the entire drive between Langdale and Earls Cove then created the movie in Quicktime at 6 frames per second. The song I choose to go along with the movie called “All Day In the Car” explains driving to PR perfectly. Watch it on the HD setting if your computer allows.

Check back soon for the drive home.
