Tom Cruise Was Not Filming On My Street

March 7, 2011

A few weeks ago I opened my blinds to find a movie being shot across the street. Maybe I thought, it’s Tom Cruise filming the latest Mission Impossible! Perhaps I thought, I can capture a few candid frames of Tom Cruise picking his nose or being an ass to the crew and I could sell them for millions!! I set up my camera and began snapping away, amazed at the number of people it takes to shoot a 30 second scene.

Finally the actor driving the car did jump out, like I told you it was not Tom Cruise.

This clip is best viewed at the 480p or higher setting.

Indigo Painting Alena

October 28, 2010

The wonderful and uber talented Indigo came and painted an installation in my loft space this week. I took the opportunity to make a poorly lit stop motion of the process and turned it into what you see below. My friends Natalie and Brent aka “Weathered Hearts” lent their song “Shameful” to the clip and my good buddy and motion gfx guru Tim J helped me out with the titles and effects.

So do yourselves a favour and hire Indigo to create a commission for you! nowsap as she would say. She can be found here www.indigosadventures.wordpress.com

You can find more of Weathered Hearts music here www.weatheredhearts.com . I’m not sure if you can actually purchase their music anywhere but send them some money anyway.

Stay tuned for a more thorough blog post on Indigo in her studio space coming soon.

Mexican Fireworks for June G.

July 30, 2010

Here you go June!

I made this stop motion movie at the fireworks last Wednesday night. It was shot through a window so it’s a little over/underexposed at times, not to mention mostly out of focus and all around underwhelming. The helicopters and planes flying around might be the best parts. Best viewed fullscreen on the 720p setting.

Sundown

July 26, 2010

I made this stop motion video up at my friends float cabin on Powell Lake. The smudge in the upper left corner around the 17 second mark is a bat flying by.

Wishing I was still on it.
