Instagram

September 16, 2011

About a month ago I downloaded the free Instagram app onto my iPhone. It allows you to take pictures with your phone and then add filters with names like X-Pro II, Earlybird, Poprocket and 1977. You can then choose to share those images with a world of like minded photo narcissists. I’ve become quite addicted myself, the following images chronicle things I felt compelled to photograph in my life over the past 30 days or so. I currently have only two followers myself so if you have the app look me up under the moniker “jevanshead”. The images look better if you click on them.

Tom Cruise Was Not Filming On My Street

March 7, 2011

A few weeks ago I opened my blinds to find a movie being shot across the street. Maybe I thought, it’s Tom Cruise filming the latest Mission Impossible! Perhaps I thought, I can capture a few candid frames of Tom Cruise picking his nose or being an ass to the crew and I could sell them for millions!! I set up my camera and began snapping away, amazed at the number of people it takes to shoot a 30 second scene.

Finally the actor driving the car did jump out, like I told you it was not Tom Cruise.

This clip is best viewed at the 480p or higher setting.

That’s it That’s All

Bought a new lens and took a wander around False Creek a few weeks back. The images look better if you click on them. That’s it that’s all.

Gastown Quiet Noise

February 4, 2011

The word “Noise” in the title refers to a visual noise rather than an audible one. All of these images where made on a short photo walk in Gastown last Sunday evening, all shot sans tripods with ISO’s ranging from 2000 – 5000.

Amazing just how “Quiet” the “Noise” considering the speed of the shoot.
